Pakistan is ready to seek revenge from New Zealand

Pakistan will be out for revenge after an off-field snub when they play New Zealand in Sharjah on Tuesday in the T20 World Cup 2021 Super 12. The team is looking to build on their historic victory over archrivals India in the tournament opener.

All Pakistan cricketers will be thinking about revenge when they face New Zealand in their second match of the ICC T20 World Cup on Tuesday.

Pakistan was targeting three teams in this tournament - India, New Zealand, and England. After discouraging India with a thumping 10-wicket defeat, the Men in Green now turn their sights on the Black Caps.

It was Babar Azam's side that made history in Dubai by beating arch-rivals India and signaling their intent in the opening game. In October, they will face the same team that backed out of the Pakistan tour due to security concerns.

As a result of that controversy, Pakistan cricket was red-faced and England subsequently canceled their tour to Pakistan.

Babar's team may think that by delivering the same medicine to New Zealand as it did to India two nights ago, the unfortunate episodes severely hindered Pakistan's preparations, something they won't forget too easily.

Babar said after the match against India: "We have come here not just to win against India, but to win the World Cup. Never forget that."

On the other hand, captain Williamson expects the "right spirit" to prevail when the teams clash on Tuesday.

The team from Pakistan had been looking forward to the occasion and playing cricket in Pakistan, and it's a real shame that it was not able to happen.
