India captain Virat Kohli admits they were

defeated by Pakistan during the T20 World Cup

The favorites India fell short thanks to Pakistan's unbeaten half-centuries from Captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, who chased down 152 with 10 wickets and 13 balls to spare.

As a result, Pakistan had their first World Cup victory over India in 13 attempts, as India had won seven of the previous 12 matches, including five in 50-over cricket.

Pakistan's successful chase on a hot and sticky Sunday evening might have been aided by the evening dew, India's talisman captain Kohli acknowledged.

“We were definitely outplayed by them,” he said. It's a fact. If you don't outplay the opposition, you won't win by 10 wickets. There was no chance for us to win.

Their professionalism was outstanding. The team deserves a lot of credit for that. Our best efforts were made. It's okay to admit that a team played better than you, even though you tried to put pressure on them.

Especially against a team like Pakistan, who on their day can beat anyone in the world, you cannot take anything lightly. There are certain aspects of this game that must be respected, and we are a team that definitely respects those aspects.

No team should believe that losing one game is the end of the world. We accept if we don't play well on the day, and we give credit to our opponents, too."

Kohli put his head in his hands after answering, "I played the team
thought was the best." He recited, "Unbelievable". I can answer accordingly if you tell me beforehand.
