Speech by the Prime Minister at General Assembly: Kashmir, Afghanistan, Islamophobia were all openly discussed

PM Imran Khan made a virtual address to the UN General Assembly explaining his views on the Kashmir issue, Afghan affairs, Islamophobia, Code 19, and the environment.




As the Prime Minister presented the case of Kashmir at the United Nations, he said that New Delhi was moving toward a self-made final solution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute The final solution will be found by the people of the region through a free and fair referendum under the auspices of the United Nations. In his speech, he said that the key to peace in South Asia lies in resolving the Kashmir issue. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that their family members were prevented from participating in the funeral prayers of the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Said Ali Shah Gilani, while India had killed thousands extrajudicially in the occupied Kashmir region. A Kashmiris and many senior leaders have been imprisoned. In a speech at the United Nations, the Prime Minister said that India had recently taken the body of Sai Ali Shajilani, and the General Assembly should request that Sai Ali Shajilani be buried in the Martyrs Cemetery. He said that India’s human rights violations in Kashmir violated the Geneva Conventions. Prime Minister Imran Khan stated that Pakistan hopes to live in peace with India, while peace in South Asia depends on the settlement of the Kashmir issue.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that after the 9/11 incident, some people linked Islam with terrorism, leading to the rise of right-wing extremism, and we must all fight against the trend of Islamophobia. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) RSS regime is spreading fascist ideology, adding that the human rights of Indian Muslims and ethnic minorities are being denied. Imran Khan said that we must deal with Islamophobia together, we must promote harmony between religions, and there must be a global dialogue to overcome Islamophobia.

In addition, the prime minister added that some people in the United States and Europe blamed Pakistan on the situation in Afghanistan. After Afghanistan, if anyone is most affected, it is Pakistan. Imran Khan said that he told then-Senator and current US President Joe Biden in 2006 that war is not the answer. He also said that there are currently 3 million Afghan refugees in Pakistan, Pakistan has lost 150 billion U.S. dollars in the war on terrorism, and more than 80,000 people have been killed if any other country after Afghanistan is affected. That is Pakistan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that if the world wants to know why the Taliban returned to power, then look at the 300,000 Afghan soldiers who surrendered. Prime Minister Imran Khan warned that if the Taliban government is not recognized by the world, Afghanistan may once again become a hotbed of terrorists. In addition, Imran Khan said that the world is currently facing the challenges of new crown pneumonia, economy, and climate change, and Pakistan is one of the countries most affected by climate change. Imran Khan further stated that renewable energy and forest protection are our top priorities, and the world needs to unite to meet future challenges. He said that so far, Pakistan has controlled corona to a large extent, and the smart lock has always been the focus of our anti-corona plan.
